#1 Inlay Lake



Inlay Lake is located in the heart of the Shan Plateau. It is a beautiful highland lake, 900 meters above sea level. The lake is 22km long and 10km across, and inhabited by many different ethnic nationals of the area. The Intha are the Lake dwellers who are unique for their leg rowing. Leg rowed traditional boats are the main ceremonial attractions of the Inlay Lake.



#2 Pin Da Ya




Pindaya, a three hour drive from Helo is a city located in the hills of the Shan State, the largest area within Myanmar. The cave is noted for its 9000 Buddha statues, but is also a bustling market town located on a small lake. Buddha images are in different sizes and materials in every imaginable corner of these mysterious caves.



#3 Kalaw




A small hilly town located in the Shan State, Kalaw takes a traveller away from the tropical heat of the country. This quaint town is away from the general tourist crowd and offers pristine beauty, unspoilt by human intervention.

This old British hill town is the centre for many trekking activities of the country. The town itself is small and can be covered within half an hour’s walk. Kalaw has several trekking routes which takes one through the scenic Shan Hills.



#4 Mawe Taw KatKu Pagoda



Kakku Pagoda Complex,Taunggyi features a cluster of fantastic ancient monuments and is located in the heart of Shan State. It is mainly a group of thousands of pagodas and temples which were built in the 16th century. This popular tourist attraction in the city attracts a huge number of travelers every year who come to visit the ancient temples and Buddhist Pagodas. These are of great historical importance due to their existence dating back from 2000 years. Kakku Pagoda Complex, Taunggyi draw the attention of visitors throughout the country as well as the other major countries of the world.



#5 Haipa Waterfall



Haipa Waterfall is a newly-found waterfall, recently attracting many tourists. A bit remote in the northern part of Shan State, it is located in Mong Hsu Township (မိုင်းရှူး), Shan State. It is about 6 hour-drive from Taunggyi, capital of Shan State. Thanks to Golden Eagle Eye team for exploring this stunning new waterfall.
